THIRTY-FIVE additional police personnel on Monday were deployed in Mandaluyong City to further boost its anti-criminality campaign.
Eastern Police District (EPD) Director Senior Supt. Elmer Jamias said, aside from maintaining peace and order in the city, the additional cops will also enhance the police visibility campaign as part of the beat patrol system of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Jamias stressed that the 35 additional policemen will also assist the Highway Patrol Group of the PNP in traffic management.
“The 35 PNP personnel downloaded to Mandaluyong police are directed to perform patrolling and traffic direction,” he said.
Data showed that the police precincts of Mandaluyong City have 296 personnel with a police-to-population ratio of 1:1,148.
