4.5M voter ID unclaimed, says poll body official

The public’s lack of awareness on the availability of their voter ID at the local Commission on Elections (Comelec) offices was the reason why an estimated 4.5-million voter ID remained unclaimed, poll body spokesman James Jimenez said on Friday.

Jimenez said that the Comelec has directed all of its field offices to post the list of the names of the unclaimed voters IDs outside local Comelec offices, barangay halls and other public places beginning this month.
