FOUR international flights were cancelled on Sunday because of bad weather brought by the southwest monsoon, airport authorities said.
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said two international flights of China Airlines and Cebu Pacific Air and AirAsia Zest were forced to suspend their flights.
Cancelled were China Airlines CI701 (Manila-Taipei) and CI702 (Taipei-Manila). Cebu Pacific Air 5J311 (Taipei to Manila) and AirAsia Zest Z2-129 (Taipei to Manila).
Passengers affected by the flight cancellations may be accommodated in the next available flights without additional charges.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon are experiencing cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms on Sunday.
After dumping rain in most of Luzon, including Metro Manila, and parts of the Visayas last week, typhoon “Gorio” made landfall over Yilan County, Taiwan on Saturday night.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) is monitoring “Huaning”, which entered the country earlier on Sunday.
