Four drug suspects were killed in separate buy-busts that resulted in a shootout with Manila police on Tuesday. Santa Ana Police Station 6 conducted a buy-bust on Christopher Barcenas, with Police Officer 1 Jayson Niegos as poseur buyer. But the suspect noticed that he was dealing with an undercover agent and fired shots at the officer, triggering a shootout with back-up officers. Recovered from Barcenas was a Smith and Wesson caliber 38 revolver, six sachets of marijuana and six sachets of shabu. Meanwhile, three other drug suspects included in the watchlist were killed in another operation under the Jones Bridge in Binondo. Operatives of Police Station 11 conducted a buy-bust on Cyril Raymundo who attempted to escape while his cohorts – Eduardo Aquino and Edgar Cumbis – engaged the lawmen in a firefight that resulted in their deaths. Police recovered 11 sachets of shabu, an improvised break-open pistol, a 22 caliber and a 38 caliber revolvers. The three were members of the Cyril Drug Group that operates in Del Pan, Escolta, Parola, Tondo and Santa Cruz in Manila.
