• 40 officers graduate with masters’ degrees


    SOME 40 senior officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) have finished the masteral course in Public Management (major in Development and Security) at the National Police College. A training institution under the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the NPC said the course is part of the government’s professionalization program for the officers and members of law enforcement and public safety agencies. The PPSC president, retired general Ricardo de Leon, said the 40 officers, all with ranks of Superintendent, were formally conferred their master’s degrees in graduation rites held recently at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City. Of the total 40 graduates, 26 came from the PNP, 13 from the BJMP and one from BFP.
