43 fall in QC drug operations


The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested 43 drug suspects, three of them women, in three separate anti-illegal drug operations on Tuesday.

A raid by village officials in Barangay Commonwealth netted three other suspects.

QCPD Director Senior Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said anti-illegal drugs operations were conducted by Station Anti-illegal Drugs (SAID) operatives of Novaliches Police Station (PS-4) under Supt April Mark Young.

At the same time, a buy-bust was conducted against Michael Ocampo, 49 in Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, resulting in the arrest of 10 drug suspects. Seized from them were several sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia.

Ten other drug personalities were arrested during Oplan Galugad at Villareal Subdivision, Brgy. Gulod, Novaliches.

The other suspects were arrested in Barangay Holy Spirit.

All those arrested will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.
