ILOILO CITY: It was a typical Ilonggo birthday celebration of a family in Santa Barabara town that turned sour when 47 of 100 guests landed in the hospital for exhibiting symptoms of food poisoning.

The Lagunday family of Barangay San Sebastian, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo celebrated their father’s birthday last Monday, August 24, with a sumptuous breakfast and lunch consisting of traditional Ilonggo food such as linaga nga karne, pancit guisado, fried chicken, Arroz ala Valenciana, salad and spaghetti for relatives, friends and neighbors.
