Five drug suspects were killed while two others were arrested in two separate buy-bust operations Friday conducted by the Station Anti-illegal Drugs-Special Operations Task Group (SAID-SOTG) of Novaliches Police Station (PS-4) headed by Supt. April Mark Young.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Senior Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said two of the suspects were killed and two of their cohorts were arrested in Barangy San Agustin, Novaliches.
In the first operation, Julius Tomas Faustino a.k.a “Ato”, 22, a known drug peddler who surrendered on July 17, 2016, was shot dead after firing at police operatives. His cohort, a certain alias Boyong, was also killed.
Arrested were Rodolfo Tomas Faustino, 33, brother of Julius, and Janno Costales Tomas, 22, cousin of the Faustino brothers.
Investigation showed that a police officer posed as a buyer of shabu but Faustino sensed that he was dealing with a law enforce and fired. Boyong also traded shots with the operatives. Both men were shot and rushed to the Novaliches District Hospital but did not make it there alive.
In another buy-bust operation at 9:40 p.m. on November 4, 2016, Station 4 operatives killed 3 drug suspects at Goodwill 2 Subdivision, Barangay Bagbag, Quezon City.
Killed were Anthony Macainan Pelicano alias “Wewe”, 36, a known drug pusher in the area, Roberto Nunag Zaragosa Jr, 32, and Edgar Ervas Enmil, 35. All were in the drug watch list of Station 4.
