Five drug suspects on a drug watch list were killed in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Manila on Friday.
In Santa Cruz district, two drug dealers engaged police in a shootout after the Station Anti-Illegal Drugs (SAID) of Station 3 had busted the suspects identified as Muklo Salic and Hussein.
The suspects had sensed that a buyer was a policeman, prompting Salic to tell Hussein to shoot the lawman.
The poseur buyer was unarmed at the time, thus he had to run and sought help from other policeman.
Hussein fired at those who responded to the poseur buyer’s cry for help, triggering a gunfight that killed Hussein.
The lawmen asked Salic to surrender but he refused, forcing the policemen to fire at him.
Police recovered four plastic sachets of suspected shabu from Hussein and Salic.
In Binondo district, two suspects were slain in another buy-bust conducted by SAID of Station 11.
During the operation that was conducted under the MacArthur Bridge, a poseur buyer transacted with the suspects identified as Jeffrey and Jalid Dimiano.
After the transaction, the suspects sensed that the buyer was a policeman.
A firefight ensued, causing the death of the two suspects.
Recovered from the Dimianos were five sachets of suspected shabu with a street value of P10,000.
Meanwhile, a newly listed drug pusher was killed in an entrapment conducted by the SAID of Station 1.
After a poseur buyer purchased illegal drugs, the buyer signaled the other operatives, alarming the suspect, Albigar Garzola.
The suspect fired at the lawmen, prompting the police to fire back, hitting the suspect in the body.
Garzola was brought to the hospital where he died.
Recovered from the crime scene were five plastic sachets of suspected shabu.
