5 in family arrested in Laguna town shabu raids



CAMP PACIANO RIZAL, LAGUNA – A team from the Laguna Provincial Intelligence Branch and Lumban police arrested five members of a family in Lumban, Laguna, on suspicion of running a shabu ring.

Laguna PNP Provincial Director Sr Supt. Pascual Munoz Jr, identified the suspects as Ricardo Rana, his brother Federico, and cousins Sander Rana, Totoy Asido, and Lorelie Reyes.

Three other suspects, identified as Aurora Lacbay, Gilda Flores Rivera, and Jonald Flores escaped.

Munoz said police raided eight houses of the suspects simultaneously in Barangay Maytalang.

The team found a still undetermined amount of shabu, drug paraphernalia, two shotguns, a .22 caliber rifle, various ammunition, police uniforms and a hunting knife.

The suspects were held at Sta. Cruz PNP detention cell.
