A TOTAL of 204 or 52.31 percent of the 390 police examinees passed the National Police Commission (Napolcom) Police Executive Service Eligibility (PESE) written examination conducted on August 21, 2016 in Quezon City, Cebu City and Davao City. Interior and Local Government Secretary and Napolcom Chairman Ismael Sueno said the 204 passers are qualified for validation interview on November 12, 13 and 19, 2016, the second and final phase of the PESE eligibility process. Napolcom Vice Chairman and Executive Officer Rogelio Casurao said the 52.31 percent passing rate was the second highest since the PESE examinations started in 2006. Casurao added that the senior police officers who passed the written examinations consisted of 70 chief inspectors and 134 superintendents.
