CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela: Calata Corp. and LPGMA Partylist Group signed a memorandum of agreement that will pay for the schooling of more than 500 scholars in Isabela.
In a statement, Joseph “Josh” Hernandez Calata, president and chief executive of Calata Corp. together with LPGMA partylist Rep. Arnel Ty signed the agreement in the presence of their beneficiaries and their families.
According to Calata, helping and enriching children’s education is not only a dream but it is a part of their company’s principle which is “cultivating lives.” He believes that education is the seed of life that is why there are more reasons for them to provide support.
“Education is one of the many ways to change our youth’s future. It can revolutionize our country into a more productive society,” Calata said.
He also confirmed that this is not the first and the last time they will make a crack in assisting different activities but this is only the start of their relentless efforts in participating into education programs that will benefit a better future of the country.
Calata noted that part of their company’s mission is to serve the Filipinos through the production of food, help the community by providing jobs and assistance and to bring technology and research for the people.
Calata Corp. is on the list of 1,000 top corporations in the Philippines. It is a publicly listed company in the Philippine Stock Exchange and the biggest distributor of agrochemicals, feeds, fertilizers and veterinary medicines in the country.
For his part, Ty express his gratitude to Calata Corp. and said the whole province of Isabela is thankful to those who do not forget to help them especially in children’s future through education.
“Education is the future of Isabela, We are very thankful that we have the Calata Corp. who has dreams and idealism to cultivate a big change. We hope you continue to plant seeds in education because that is what our country really needs,” Ty added.
