Six persons were killed in separate drug operations in Manila, police said.
Frankie Neri was shot dead when he shot it out with policemen in Moriones, Tondo. Police confiscated a gun and five sachets of shabu from Neri, Senior Police Officer 4 Glezon Vallejo of the Manila Police District Homicide Section said.
At about 1:30 a.m. Friday, Rolando Morales, 43, and his brother Restituto, of 297 Santa Rita Street, Tondo and Marvin Varona, 25, of Santa Bernardita Street also died in a shootout with the police.
The three were rushed to the Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center but they were declared dead on arrival. Recovered from them were a .38 caliber revolver and 14 sachets of shabu.
At about 11:45 a.m. yesterday, members of the Santa Cruz Central Market Police Station 3 led by Supt. Arnold Thomas Ibay conducted a buy-bust operation along P. Guevarra Street and Sulu Street.
Killed were Raymart Mendoza, 20, a resident of 2888 Tambunting Street; and Manuel Aromiro, 51, of 1811 Sulo Street, Santa Cruz.
Mendoza and Aromiro were rushed to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center but they were declared dead on arrival.
Recovered from the duo were two .38 caliber revolvers, sachets of shabu and the P3,000 buy-bust money.
