SIX drug suspects were killed in separate anti-drug operations in Manila late Saturday.
One of those killed was Joselito “Pinong” Rufino, a member of the Batang City Jail and the sixth person in the police drug list.
Rufino was shot dead during a buy bust conducted by the Station Anti-Illegal Drugs (SAID) Station 10 in Pandacan, Manila.
Police officer PO1 Leonardo Bagaipo posed as a buyer but Rufino sensed that he is transacting with a police officer and opened fire forcing the police to fire back.
Police recovered five sachets of white crystalline substance suspected as shabu.
Meanwhile, three members of the Sigue Sigue Commando Gang also engaged police officers in a shootout when they were caught during a pot sessions in Binondo, Manila.
Reymond Morales, Jomar Gamao and Ernesto Francisco died on the spot. Police recovered from the three men eight sachets of shabu and three revolvers.
In Tondo, PO2 George Borabo also posed as a buyer and was given shabu by Marlon “Boy” Batuyong.
After getting the payment, Bantuyong sensed the he had just sold drugs to a policeman and he opened fire but missed.
Bantuyong’s accomplice, Raegan Dela Cruz, also exchanged shots with the police. But both men sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of the body that caused their death.
Two sachets of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu and two .38 revolvers were recovered by the police.
