NAGTIPUNAN, Quirino: At least six soldiers were wounded after an improvised explosive device (IED) mounted on a bamboo tree exploded on Tuesday morning, according to the military here.
The soldiers belonging to the Philippine Army’s Bravo Company of the 86th Infantry Battalion (IB), 5th Infantry Division (5th ID), went to Barangay (village) Sangbay for water refill and were on their way back to their base camp when the explosion occurred.
The wounded were rushed to the Maddela town hospital for treatment.
