61-year-old among ladderized program GRADS


Rosario, Cavite: Sixty-one-year-old Antonio Abeledo was among the 44 graduates of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) in Rosario, Cavite on Wednesday. According to Rosario Mayor Jose Ricafrente Jr., Abeledo was the oldest ALS elementary graduate and received a leadership award for excellence and his eagerness to learn. Abeledo said he wants to continue his studies until he finishes high school and college, at his age he wants to find a job suited for him. The ALS is a non-formal education program of the Department of Education for school dropouts, out of school youths, among others.
