7 policemen accused of extortion


SEVEN Manila policemen assigned at the anti-car theft unit were ordered arrested by District Director Rolando Asuncion on Tuesday. Facing extortion charges were Senior Insp. Rommel Geneblazo, head of the Anti-Carnapping and Hijacking Unit, and his subordinates SPO1 Michael Dingding, SPO1 Gerry Rivera, SPO1 Jay-An Pertubos, SPO1 Jonathan Moreno, PO2 Renato Ochinang and PO2 Marvin de la Cruz. The policemen were accused of demanding money from Pakistani businessman Kamran Kha Dawood, 39, of 1806 Platinum 2000 Annapolis Street, San Juan City on September 19.
