In keeping with the times—with women more confident and knowledgeable about fashion trends—Nine West, an American brand of stylish yet wearable footwear and accessories, is updating its stores globally with a new design concept.
In the Philippines, Nine West has unveiled its first concept store at the Power Plant Mall via an exclusive media event, led by no less than Kiki Zinycz, vice president of Southeast Asia for Global Retial Inc., the regional licensee of the Nine West Group.
Personally touring members of the media, Zinycz proudly shared that the concept of the newly renovated 49-square meter space “blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors for an airy feel.” This is achieved by choosing the whitest of white interiors with hints of pink to add a feminine yet modern touch.
With updated mid-century styles as its inspiration, the store also features a mix of wooden finishes. Movable tables and chairs come in organic shapes to blend in the store’s environment. Levels of light animate the space while floating geometric shelves lend another dimension to the store.
A wooden chandelier serves as the focal point of the store and also lends itself to highlight the key items of the season. The overall effect is an invitation to enter and immerse oneself within the space.
But the visual experience is never complete without checking out the brand’s latest collections. According to Zinycz, some of the trends that Filipinas should look out for include tribal prints on slip on shoes, woven details on wedges, monochrome themes on handbags, among others.
In the coming months, this new store concept, which is currently being adapted by Nine West stores globally, will be rolled out in the rest of brand’s boutiques all over the Philippines.
Nine West is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists Inc. in the Philippines.
