Spanish brands Sfera, Suiteblanco and Uno de 50 debuted at the Philippine Fashion Week (PhFW) with a display of bohemian fashion.
Leading the one-night show on October 24 at the SMX Convention Center was Sfera, which recently opened its first store in Asia at the SM Makati.
Hailing from The El Corte Ingles Group—the largest retail chain in Spain—the label brought the boho vibe to corporate field. Sfera was able to achieve this by adding boho details to ultra feminine corporate attires.
For example, a black-and-white, Aztec-printed skirt became the highlight of a three-piece ensemble. The look was also monochromatic as the inner blouse was plain black, while the formal coat was in white brocade. The same Aztec print from Sfera was also seen in a poncho that exuded a lot of attitude.
A seemingly dull office attire in gray was then liven up with shredded details—a boho classic—on the clothes’ linings.
On the other hand, Suiteblanco unveiled a colorful suite of bohemian styles. There were tribal printed scarves with all possible colors, further accentuated with dangling golden coins.
To tone down the very vibrant prints, the Spanish brand took to runway flowy chiffon skirts and washed-out denims. The boho chic was evident down to Suiteblanco’s bags.
Finally, another brand from Spain breathing nothing but bohemian was seen. This is Uno de 50 that showcased handcrafted silver beads combined with different stones in shades of blue skies and crimson sunsets, as well as in forms of leaves and the seeds.
These pieces under the brand’s Connection and Forest collections definitely reflect that nature-loving side of the bohemians.
Uno de 50 also launched organic-looking bangles and belts for the fashion show.
Presenting their latest Fall-Winter Collections, all three brands have come to Manila in partnership with SM Retail. Their participation in the recently concluded PhFW will give Manila’s stylish set the rare opportunity to view their latest collection, which are also on the racks of their stores worldwide.
