It was the stuff that dreams are made of when Ma. Triccia “Trixie” Calsado Tansiongco and Romulo “Arjay” Co Jr. exchanged lifetime vows on December 15, 2013 in front of family and friends.

Every detail was perfect and personal what with the bride’s expertise in mounting beautiful weddings as a proprietor of an events company (Fabtrix Promotions), and of course the invaluable and loving help of her groom, an aerospace engineer based in California, who flew in a few months before the big day. Arjay was eager to be involved in the flurry of preparations and to be on hand to support his fiancée.

According to the bride, the entire affair was a reflection of their personalities. For example, Trixie asked her mom and Arjay’s mom to wear gowns in hot pink, her favorite color. The rest of the wedding entourage was dressed in turquoise, silver and champagne, with touches of fuchsia on all the gowns and suits.

Rev. Fr. Larry Tan officiated the evening ceremony at the beautiful Santuario de San Antonio Parish in Forbes Park, Makati City. The 12 pairs of principal sponsors were led by Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile, The Manila Times president and CEO Dante Ang 2nd, and Ret. P/C Supt. Prospero Noble Jr.

The Blue Leaf Pavilion at McKinley Hill, Bonifacio Global City served as the reception venue, with fireworks lighting up the stage as the guests greeted the newly married couple with a resounding applause.

One of the truly charming highlights of the wedding celebration was the newlyweds’ first dance, with the bride’s uncle and principal sponsor, Police General Orlando Maddela Jr., singing a heartfelt rendition of Jack Jones’ “She.” Rev. Fr. James O’Donnell, a close friend of the groom’s family, led the invocation prayer, and the wedding banquet followed.

The celebration ended at midnight with everyone wishing Arjay and Trixie a lifetime of bliss, and many babies to come.

The bride is the daughter of Ret. P/S Supt. Douglas Tansiongco and Tessie Calsado Tansiongco. The groom is the son of Romulo Co and Alice Nuger Co.
