In every important milestone of his life, Joel Cruz makes sure that no stones are left unturned for a truly memorable and unique celebration.
The Christening of his new twins is no exception.
Held on January 18 at the Sanctuario de San Antonio Social Hall in Forbes Park, Makati City, the baptismal ceremonies welcomed Prince Harry and Prince Harvey to the Christian world.
As befitting of the two Princes, Cruz, who is also dubbed the Philippines’ “The Lord of Scents” because of his business Aficionado, a “royal banquet” then followed at the Makati Shangri-La.
The godparents of Joel’s twins were a long list of personalities from politics and business sector, to entertainment industry, to the academe and arts and culture scene.
Of course, also present at the celebration were his family and friends—and not to be forgotten, his first twins, Prince Sean and Princess Synne.

About 300 guests attended the formal reception where they walked down the red carpet. As if an awards night, a group of photographers lined up to photograph their arrival and entry to the ballroom.
Cocktails were served at the foyer while guests had the chance to see the new twins in a makeshift nursery embellished with paper lanterns, tulle, balloons and light—ready for a bedtime story and lullaby.
The food was superb with codfish and olive tapenade as main course with wine pairings from France and California.
Dinner entertainment was provided by the Aficionado Symphony Orchestra, which was specially put together only for this occasion, together with world-renowned University of Sto. Tomas Singers conducted by Professor Fidel Calalang.
There were also musical highlights from Broadway through a show directed by the Atlantis Group and performed by Shiela Valderrama and Carla Guevarra-Laforteza, who played Kim in the West End London production of Miss Saigon, and The Dawn frontman Jett Pangan.
Finale numbers by timeless diva Dulce brought the house down and her tenor son David Ezra who graduated from the UST Conservatory of Music.
A truly entertaining program.
Joel requested all godparents and guests that in lieu of gifts to his children, a donation to their ancestral church in Sampaloc, Manila the Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro Parish may be made. This early, Joel is teaching his legacy of philanthropy to his children.
To Joel, again congratulations for the new addition to the family.
