    Meanwhile, one of the country’s largest banks, Citi, recently hosted Japan Day, showcasing its commitment and support for its Japanese multinational corporate clients operating in the Philippines.

    Citi Philippines CEO Batara Sianturi welcomed the guests, and spoke of his firm’s strong presence in Asia. We first opened our doors in China in 1902, and in the same year, established offices in several other countries including the Philippines and Japan.

    Citi Japan Executive Officer Katsuhisa Ishikawa, who also serves as Deputy Head of Corporate Banking Division, flew in for the affair. While addressing the clients, he reiterated Citi’s commitments to support its Japanese clients and provided an update on Citi’s Japan Desk Network.
