The Glenlivet, a brand of whisky that originates from Livet Valley, Scotland, carries three centuries of distilling traditions. As the first single-malt whiskey distillery to be licensed in the region in 1824, the company offers a rich heritage, innovative spirit and exceptional quality.
This holiday season, it is quite apt to celebrate with The Glenlivet, as it recently became the world’s largest single malt Scotch whisky brand by volume, according to IWSR 2014 figures.
Triumphantly sharing the global milestone in the Philippines was Darren Hosie, International Brand Ambassador for Chivas Brothers Ltd. in Asia, who introduced three classic expressions from The Glenlivet—the 12-, 15- and 18-Year Old—each a well-balanced and exceptionally smooth drink.
Take note that the whisky company was one of the first distilleries to use French Oak in the whisky-making process, a technique that has since been imitated by many others.
“The Glenlivet has reached a significant business milestone as the number one single malt whisky, and we are very optimistic that with our innovations, this momentum will carry on strongly into the future,” concluded Hosie.
