Discovery Leisure joins 3-day Travel Tour Expo at SMX
Without a doubt, Filipinos have become more informed about the beauty of their country, having developed the thirst to explore the many different and promising destinations these 7,100 islands have to offer.
Homegrown hospitality company The Discovery Leisure Company Inc. (TDLCI) attests to this happy development what with its 15-year presence in the tourism business. To date, Discovery has five world-class properties under its name around the country, and in building its network has witnessed the transformation of Filipino traveling habits.
“In recent years, the Filipino traveler has become a stronger pillar in the local and regional holiday scene. Tourism is at an all-time high for the country,” Jun Parreño, Discovery Leisure chief operating officer, told The Manila Times.
He further observed, “We have seen that the more exposed the Filipino market becomes to international trends, the more demanding they become, be it for world-class amenities or quality service, all the way to internet speeds.”
The development of the Filipino traveler, according to Parreño is a very good thing for their company and the tourism industry as a whole because it keeps them on their toes in providing satisfying experiences for their clients.
This and more is what Discovery Leisure will highlight and bring to the Travel Tour Expo of the Philippine Travel Agencies Association, which opens today at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Yet another indicator of a vibrant tourism industry in the country, the now yearly expo will run through Sunday, February 7.

“Be it in urban Metro Manila, upland Tagatay, or the tropical paradises of Boracay and Palawan, we’ve got something for every vacationer,” Parreño enthused.
Featuring possibilities of retail therapy, foodie adventures and relaxing staycations, Discovery Leisure offers its properties in heart of two business districts in Metro Manila.
