AAP, PNP sign partnership to promote road safety


The Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP) and the Philippine National Police has bonded together to help promote road safety.

AAP president Gus Lagman and Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group Police Chief Supt. Arnold Gunnacao recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the PNP-HPG headquarters in Camp Crame in Quezon City confirming the partnership.

As part of the project, the AAP donated a driving simulator for use in the HPG Training Building. At the same time, the AAP turned over to the HPG library various reference materials on road safety and motor vehicle maintenance, including booklets, manuals, pamphlets, videos and copies of the Land Transportation Code as well as AAP’s book on the history of Philippine motor sports.
