Budget Secretary Florencio “Butch” Abad on Wednesday vowed to provide Congress a list of lawmakers who received funding from the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP).
Abad made the promise when he was quizzed by Rep. Tobias Tiangco of Navotas City (Metro Manila) during a budget briefing of the Development Budget Coordinating Council composed of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), National Economic and Development Authority, Department of Finance and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
“We will come up with a report that we will submit to the Senate, and we can also furnish the House with that [report]. We still have to disaggregate [the DAP fund coming from]the different agencies. We can submit it before plenary [deliberations],” Abad told the House appropriations panel.
The DBM had posted proceeds of the P144-billion DAP funds and the releases of such funds on its website www.dbm.gov.ph.
The listing, however, did not include the lawmakers who received allocations from the DAP.
“We uploaded the details on our website. There are the projects, the amount released, disbursement date…actual status of project. The only missing there are the names of the legislators who endorsed the projects because we still have to look for the letters that were sent to us by the legislators,” Abad said.
