Creative stylist Jun Jun Ablaza once read the book The Precious Present by Spencer Johnson. The wisdom he gained then gave him a deeper sense of happiness and fulfillment both in his personal and professional life. The same wisdom became the core inspiration for this year’s Ablazablaze 2015 dubbed “Precious Presents Artwear + Artcessories.”
The annual Ablazablaze exhibit is Ablaza’s celebration of life and work that falls exactly on his birthday, October 24 at the Manila Polo Club. With the assistance of close friends fashion designer Michele Sison, publicist Tedrick Yau, and production director Jett Carpio, the exhibit this year is, as always, a grand occasion that took months to conceptualize, finalize and execute.
Using standout pieces from his creations, the exhibited images capture the essence of Ablaza’s majestic and extraordinary ideas. International photographer Filbert Kung and celebrity stylist Roko Arceo, with the help of shoot coordinator Trixie Orobia, spearheaded the black and white look. Together, they created the concept that eventually sparked the diverse themes other invited collaborators worked with. The different elements in the images symbolized Ablaza’s gift of design and creativity—one of the many precious presents he values most.
The evening gathered Manila’s most prominent figures in the lifestyle industry, diplomatic circle, and business community who all enjoyed the spectacular feast prepared by Manila Polo Club over the delicious cocktail concoctions of Belvedere vodka. The spotlight was also on the Moet & Chandon installation created by Ablaza using champagne bottles.
For a final touch and a first this year, more than a hundred raffle prizes were given to lucky guests.
As a creative innovator, the future leads a more radiant path for Ablaza who will surely unveil more of his wildly imaginative, yet stunningly captivating living spaces and entertaining landscapes.
To Jun Jun, may you continue to inspire people with your creativity!
