AboitizLand and Aboitiz Construction Group (ACGI) have joined to form a new business for housing and commercial projects, marking the new partnership with a contract-signing event held at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
The ceremony was attended by members of the AboitizLand and ACGI management committee, with Chief Operating Officers Patrick Reyes for AboitizLand and Albert Ignacio for ACGI officiating the event. Joining them were Andoni Aboitiz, CEO, AboitizLand; Jimmy Aboitiz, ACGI’s Chairman; Nap Pe, ACGI President; and Rafa Fernandez de Mesa, AboitizLand’s First VP for Operations.
The contract signing between AboitizLand and Aboitiz Construction Group Inc. formally bound both companies’ efforts in strengthening partnerships and working towards AboitizLand’s expansion plans in Luzon, as well as through upcoming developments in other parts of the country.
COO Patrick Reyes said that AboitizLand is very excited and encouraged about this partnership. “This is an opportunity for both companies to have a thriving business. For Aboitiz Construction Group it is a new leg to stand on, providing many opportunities to build houses, buildings, and even do site development. It is also a big opportunity for AboitizLand because we need a reliable partner in this business for us to thrive as well,” he added.
Meanwhile, Albert Ignacio, ACGI COO mentioned the group’s current plans to create a business platform to cater to the needs of AboitizLand and Lima Land.
“We are actually changing our business platform. We are planning to create a division which we will call housing and commercial projects. We are also in the process of rationalizing our equipment study so that we can serve AboitizLand better with our equipment. Hopefully the synergy will result in a mutually beneficial arrangement,” he said.
