MEMBERS of the militant teachers’ group, Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT), are calling for justice for two public school teachers in Cotabato City who were killed in an ambush while going home from school last Tuesday. Fahara Kabuntalan La and Sittie Usop Abdullah, both teachers at Mokamad Ali Elementary School, were on board a tricycle when unidentified suspects opened fire at them along Barangay Tamontaka. Another teacher, Aisah Karon Malugka and trike driver Fahad Abdulwahid Abdullah were wounded. Police earlier said the target of the ambush was Abdullah. Raymond Basilio, ACT secretary general, urged authorities to look deeper into the case and arrest the perpetrators of the crime.
