• Acting Mayor PeÑa to push good governance reform

Acting Makati Mayor Romulo “Kid” Peña on Saturday urged the members of the Makati City Council to “uphold the greater good” by supporting his platform of reforms that are ultimately aimed at improving the lives of city residents and workers, particularly the less privileged. In a statement, Makati Public Information Office (PIO) head Gibo Delos Reyes said the acting mayor hoped that the city councilors would support his reform campaign geared toward better governance, enabled by greater transparency and accountability. “While acting Mayor Peña understands the close affinity of many of the councilors with suspended Mayor Junjun Binay, he is still hoping that their sense of duty to the people of Makati whom they have sworn to serve would eventually prevail,” Delos Reyes said.

    1. Publish the minutes of conference of the City Council so that the public are aware of what is happening in their deliberations. This is part of transparency and accountability to the Makatians.
