The “royal” baby is here!
Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, dubbed as Philippines’ own “royal couple,” welcomed their first-born Maria Letizia Gracia-Dantes on Monday morning.
The couple’s home network GMA, took to Instagram the good news and posted a photo of the couple with the caption, “Marian Rivera gave birth to Baby Maria Letizia Gracia-Dantes this morning Congratulations to the Kapuso Primetime King and Queen!” The photo garnered 1,784 likes as of this writing.
Upon the confirmation of Rivera’s delivery, the words ‘Marian Rivera’ and ‘Congrats DongYan’ instantly landed on Twitter’s Philippines trending list.
On Monday night, Dantes shared his family’s precious moment with a photo of him holding his newborn’s little hand.
The photo that garnered 23,000 likes as of this writing was captioned, “Twenty-three November, 2015: The day God decided to deliver His most precious gift. This morning, I witnessed a miracle… and during that moment, I realized that my life would never be the same again. As we welcome this new graceful chapter with open hearts, we thank everyone who prayed with us through this sweet journey. Friends, say hello to our Maria Letizia. @therealmarian”
Earlier in September, Rivera explained that they have decided to name their daughter Maria Letizia since his husband’s grandmother and her aunt share the same name Leticia. They also liked that the name sounds classic. Following Rivera’s first name, they added Maria.
Dantes and Rivera got married on December 30, 2014 in a well-attended and much-talked about “royal wedding.” Soon after, in April, they announced that they are expecting their first child.
