Between being a coach on The Voice, the lead singer of Maroon 5, a clothing designer and People’s current sexiest man alive, we have to ask: is there anything Adam Levine can’t do?
“There are plenty of things I can’t do, but I don’t do them. I feel this sense of calm. I’m so pleased with the things I’ve been able to do in my life. I’m just seeing it through and having a good time,” he said.
Levine’s film Begin Again closed out the Tribeca Film Festival Saturday night, with a small party hosted by Chanel at the Tribeca Grill. What did he take away from the film, which co-stars Keira Knightley and opens in July — and marks his film acting debut?
“It’s a huge slice of humble pie. Acting is hard,” he says, adding that he’d like to do more of it. “I think so, depending on what it is. I’m not making any bold declarations that I’m an actor now. I don’t think that’s very cool to do.”
As for the most repetitive question he gets asked about The Voice, it involves his fellow coach, country star Blake Shelton. “Do you and Blake really fight? The answer is no. Everything we do is a joke,” he said.
His fiancee, model Behati Prinsloo, was sitting next to Levine, sipping a glass of red wine. Levine won’t reveal any details about a wedding, or if there are even any to share yet. “You want the address. You got it. I’ll get back to you on that,” he said.
