Top-ranked Adamson re-staked its claim as the country’s premier softball team, winning not just one but two titles in the 10th Summer Grand Slam tournament presented by Cebuana Lhuillier at the Batangas Sports Complex over the weekend.
But the San Marcelino-based squad needed to fend off a tough University of the Philippines side, 7-6, to retain the women’s Open championship while its sister teams disputed the women’s Club crown in an all-Adamson finale with AdU-C nipping AdU-B, 8-7.
