The Optical Media Board (OMB) has a new chairman - Anselmo B. Adriano, a lawyer and former Director of the Consumer Protection and Advocacy Bureau of the Department of Trade and Industry.

During simple turnover rites, Adriano said the agency will embark on a three-year roadmap that shall be anchored on three major programs -- institutionalization of a comprehensive performance management system, immediate review of the OMB charter and related laws and intensification of the campaign against violations of RA 9239 and related laws, particularly the Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009, in the areas of enforcement, licensing, and advocacy.
