• Adriano is new OMB chairman

The Optical Media Board (OMB) has a new chairman – Anselmo B. Adriano, a lawyer and former Director of the Consumer Protection and Advocacy Bureau of the Department of Trade and Industry.

During simple turnover rites, Adriano said the agency will embark on a three-year roadmap that shall be anchored on three major programs — institutionalization of a comprehensive performance management system, immediate review of the OMB charter and related laws and intensification of the campaign against violations of RA 9239 and related laws, particularly the Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009, in the areas of enforcement, licensing, and advocacy.

“This is our small way of highlighting the impact of women and children in our efforts to regulate optical media-related activities,” Adriano said.
