A 52-year old municipal agriculturist in North Cotabato was killed by a motorcycle riding suspect early Friday morning in a remote village in President Roxas town of the province.
Initial police reports reaching the PNP National Operation Center in Camp Crame identified the shooting victim as Antonio Doton, of Kidapwan City, North Cotabato and a municipal employee of President Roxas town.
Supt. Bernard Tayong, spokesman for the North Cotabato Police Office said that the incident took place at around 8 a.m. Friday on a dirt road in Brgy. Labuo.
Report said Doton was on board his motorcycle and was heading for work from Kidapawan City when a lone gunman onboard on another motorbike shot him with a .45 caliber pisto. He died instantly from multiple gunshot wounds in the body.
Police investigators are yet to determine the motive and identity of the gunman.
