Forward Japeth Aguilar exploded for 32 points and 12 rebounds as Barangay Ginebra stopped the Star Hotshots, 86-79, on Christmas Day in the Philippine Basketball Association Season 42 Philippine Cup at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
Aguilar shot a perfect 5-of-5 attempt beyond the arc while Joe Devance finished with 17 points to help the Gin Kings improve to 3-3 win-loss record. The Hotshots, with the loss, dropped also to 3-3 win-loss record, ending their winning streak to three.
