Says of Kapamilya Kris Aquino: ‘She is a former friend’
“I have returned,” Comedy Queen AiAi delas Alas declared as soon as she inked a two-year contract with GMA Network on Thursday morning.

One of Philippine showbiz’ biggest stars, AiAi, who has long been identified with ABS-CBN reminded guests at the official signing that she actually began her TV career with GMA.

AiAi related this in response to the very warm welcome she received from the network’s top executives, led by GMA’s president and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon, who even said that the comedienne had always been one of her favorites.

Set to begin her first taping day Friday for a teleserye titled, Let the Love Begin, AiAi excitedly revealed that she also has a morning show, a Sunday program, and projects with child star Ryzza Mae and top comedian Vic Sotto already in the works.

As she lined up a busy season ahead, the actress was unable to avoid answering questions regarding her decision to leave a 14-year-old run with ABS-CBN, which in the last two years had noticeably failed to give her much exposure.

“Ang last ko po sa kanila Dyesebel . . .

Asked if her rift with Kris Aquino figured in her decision to leave ABS-CBN, AiAi quickly replied, “Diba nagkabati na kami sa kasal [ni Marian Rivera]? She is a former friend and a former roommate [in the other network]. Ngayon mag-kapitbahay nalang kami.
