Low-cost carrier AirAsia Zest is starting its three times weekly flights from Mactan Cebu International Airport to Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia.
In a statement, Joy Caneba, executive vice president and chief operating officer of AirAsia Zest, said that, “Our commitment in partnering with AirAsia, the world’s best low-cost carrier, is to build a truly great value airline that will serve the needs of Filipino travelers and overseas workers.”
She added that, “With our new Cebu to Kota Kinabalu flights, air transport connectivity between the Queen City of the South and Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, and other parts of the region, where many Filipinos are experiencing poor connectivity and high fares, will greatly improve.”
AirAsia Zest operates flights between Cebu and Kota Kinabalu using the Airbus A320, also operated by all airlines in the AirAsia Group and notable for its durability, efficiency, safety and comfort.
