Airport worker dies from heart attack

Medical personnel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport warned that hot weather can trigger a heart attack and people should take extra precaution during hot temperatures. Elmer Limon, 39, wheelchair attendant assigned at NAIA terminal 2 was declared dead-on-arrival at the San Juan De Dios Hospital in Pasay City late Sunday afternoon following a heart attack while on duty. Limon, an employee of EWMPC, a company tapped by Philippine Airlines to assist elder passengers with difficulty of walking, collapsed at the terminal 1 transfer desk arrival area. MIAA physician Yolanda Miranda said that Limon might have a history of heart illness and the hot weather added stress that trigger cardio respiratory arrest.
