The Alaska Aces cruised to a 106 - 80 win over the Blackwater Elite in the season opener of the 2015 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governor’s Cup on Tuesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Alaska’s bench recorded 53 points getting notable contributions from Chris Banchero, Calvin Abueva, and RJ Jazul. The Aces scored 26 points from 21 Blackwater turnovers while dominating the paint scoring 56-30. Banchero was also named player of the game for his 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in 22 minutes off the bench.
