A LEADER of a notorious drug group surrendered to operatives of the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) following a firefight in a remote village in Ligao City over the weekend. CIDG chief, Dir. Victor Deona identified the gang leader as Eduardo Embido of the “Embido Drug Group.” Embido engaged operatives of the CIDG Albay out to serve a search warrant against him. Seized from Embido were an M16 Armalite, a KJ 9MM machine pistol, a cal. 45 pistol, a cal. 22 rifle, around 50 grams of suspected “shabu”, magazines, and several ammunitions, the CIDG chief said. Meanwhile, in Camarines Norte, operatives of the CIDG arrested Rhomel Lumenario during a buy bust operation inside an apartelle in a remote village in Labo town.
