LEGAZPI CITY: Two local beauties who brought honor to the province at the Binibing Pilipinas competition last Sunday will be honored in a victory homecoming party during Albay Day on April 3, 2014.
Yvethe Marie Avisado Santiago of Daraga town, a graduate of Bicol University College of Accountancy batch 2013, was crowned Miss Supranational 2014 while Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti, also of Daraga town, was crowned Miss International 2014.
Gov. Joey Salcedo said the provincial government is preparing a victory party to honor the two beauty queens.
Santiago passed the recently concluded licensure examination for certified public accountants and is the reigning Daragang Magayon Festival beauty queen in the province before she joined the Binibining Pilipinas competition.
Albay has produced several beauty titlists in national and international competitions. These include Miss Universe 4th Runner-Up Miriam Quiambao of Cagraray Island, Bacacay town; the late Miss International Melody Gersbach who died in a car accident in Naga City; Miss International Precious Lara Guigaman of Ligao City; Dianne Necio of Polangui town; Mutya ng Pilipinas Miss International 2009 Jane Banares of Legazpi City; and the two adopted daughters of Albay, Miss Universe 4th Runner-Up Venus Raj and Bea Rose Santiago, Miss International 2013.
