TV Heartthrob Alden Richards marked his 22nd birthday on January 14 away from the glitz and glamour of showbiz, and treated the orphans of the Holy Trinity Home for Children in Quezon City to an afternoon of fun and merriment.
Both game and relaxed to be Kuya Alden for the day, the Carmela leading man—his upcoming teleserye for GMA Network with Kapuso Prime Time Queen Marian Rivera—revealed a loving and compassionate heart for the youngsters.
“Nagpunta ako rito hindi bilang ang artista,” he said. “Last year, nangako ako sa kanila na bibisitahin kong muli ang Holy Trinity Home for Children.
The actor added that his “children’s party” was the most fitting way for him to celebrate his birthday.
To make the party as fun as possible for the children, many of Alden’s supporters helped with food and giveaways, among them Belo, Kakao Talk, Skechers, Folded and Hung, Waffle Time, Minute Burger, Zagu and Tous Les Jours. Indeed, Alden has started the year right by giving back on his special day
