Suzuki Philippines received another feather in its cap as the all-new Suzuki Celerio was awarded as the “Basic Subcompact Car of the Year” during the much-awaited Car Awards Group Inc. (CAGI) Gala Awards Night held last month at the Fontana Leisure Parks and Casino in Clark Field, Pampanga.
Members of the CAGI committee lauded the all-new Suzuki Celerio’s A+ compact build — a concept that steps up on the strengths and exceeds the limits of the A segment car by implementing the “small on the outside, big on the inside” idea. It sports the same dynamic and easy-to-maneuver design, which Suzuki compact cars are known for, while offering spacious room for passengers and relatively huge luggage capacity.
“As a pioneer manufacturer of compact vehicles, we are truly grateful for this acknowledgement, which recognizes our continuous pursuit to come up with top quality vehicles that would fit the growing needs of the automotive market. We are dedicating this award, and other recognitions we received this year, to our valued customers who have been our inspiration in developing and manufacturing premium and reliable cars,” said Suzuki Philippines General Manager for Automobile Shuzo Hoshikura.
Apart from the CAGI Award, the All New Celerio also bagged the Air Asia Philippines Consumer Award.
CAGI was established in 2004 and recognizes the best cars in each segment through independent and comprehensive testing with qualitative and quantitative criteria. Entry vehicles are reviewed based on all aspects of the vehicle, from safety features, competitive price and much more.
