Celebrating the month of March as Women’s History Month, US Ambassador Philip Goldberg pays tribute to the extraordinary contributions of Filipino and American women in a video series called “#WonderWomen.”
In his introduction, Ambassador Goldberg said, “The amazing accomplishments of women have connected the Philippines and the US for years.”
Each week, the five-episode video series will show significant leadership examples in the fields of civic engagement, economic development, education, environment, and music and arts.
The first part in the #WonderWomen line-up is social entrepreneur Reese Fernandez of Rags2Riches. The second installment features environment lawyer Ipat Luna of Pusod Inc. Award-winning educator Dr. Josette Biyo graces the third video. Philanthropist Loida Nicolas-Lewis is the fourth feature in the series. Completing the roster is jazz icon Diane Schuur.
These women exemplify the spirit of leadership shared by both countries and upon which both rely for the future.
