Ambassador to Portugal Philippe Lhuillier of the Philippine Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal
recently paid a courtesy call on Mayor Fernando Medina of Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal.
The courtesy call was an opportunity for both officials to discuss ways in which the Philippine Embassy and the City Council of Lisbon can collaborate on possible projects that would enhance Philippine-Portuguese bilateral relations.
It was also a chance for Ambassador Lhuillier to inform Mayor Medina of the Embassy’s plans to celebrate and highlight the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Portugal in 2016.
A number of cultural events in Lisbon are being planned by the Embassy to highlight this milestone in Philippine-Portuguese bilateral relations.
