THE American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) has conducted a survey released over the weekend, to quantify and document how the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs of these companies contribute to the welfare of Philippine society and what activities they are usually engaged in.

There were 15 percent of AmCham member-companies participated in the survey. The overall annual contribution quantifies to a total of $10 million (P480 million) with activities focused on the areas of Education, Poverty and Hunger Alleviation, Women and Youth Empowerment, Environment and Climate Protection, Reducing Inequalities, Indigenous Community Development, PWDs and Elderly Welfare, and other training workshops.
