• Angels reel in Trout with record deal

LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles Angels agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth $1 million with outfielder Mike Trout on Wednesday while talks continue about a long-term Major League Baseball contract. The deal was the richest for a player who faces possible contract renewal but not arbitration, bettering the $900,000 given to Ryan Howard by Philadelphia in 2007 and Albert Pujols by St. Louis in 2003.
