After six long years of being together, ABS-CBN host-actress Anne Curtis and restaurateur-food blogger Erwan Heussaff are officially engaged.
The couple hinted on the good news via their respective Instagram accounts. Thirty-one year old Curtis posted a photo of her and Heussaff locked in a kiss with the caption “Je t’aime mon amour,” which is French for “I love you my dear.”
Meanwhile, Solenn Heusaff’s little brother captioned his post with the invitation, “Check out our latest video on Youtube, link in the bio. Highlights of our pretty amazing New York and Connecticut trip with this lovely lady. She’s a keeper.” And there, the revelation was made public in a six-minute video [posted both on Facebook and YouTube]initially showing the couple on the said US holiday in November.
The latter part of the video went on to show Curtis and Heussaff’s adventures since 2010, and finally by the 5:45 mark, the video finds the pair quietly sitting in the woods. Moments later, an emotional Heussaff knelt down, and opened a small box of what appeared to be an engagement ring. He then told Curtis,” “I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life.”
Surprised and teary-eyed, the popular actress exclaimed, “Yes!” The video has since garnered 5.2 million views and more than 385,000 likes on Facebook.
Family and friends have also gone online to congratulate the newly engaged couple starting off with Curtis’ sister Jasmine, who posted, “I am the happiest little sestra for you @annecurtissmith congratulations to you and @erwanheussaff! Never doubted the forever everyone sees in your relationship. God may have given you the biggest challenges in life but He also showers you with the best blessings that you deserve! woot woot! what will be your wedding hashtag kaya?.”
It will be remembered back in May that Curtis said in an interview that she is not in a rush to get married even if her friends took the plunge one by one this year. Collectively known as the “It Girls,” Georgina Wilson tied the knot with Arthur Burnand in London on April 30; Solenn Heussaff married Nico Bolzico in France on May 21; and in September, Isabelle Daza exchanged “I do’s” with Adrien Semblat in Italy.
While Curtis and her finance have yet to announce the exact date of their wedding, it really does seem like the “It’ Girls” caught the wedding bug in a major way—and everyone is simply happy for them.
