ANOTHER traffic constable of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) was hit by a sports utility vehicle (SUV) while manning traffic at the corner of EDSA and Ortigas Avenue in Mandaluyong City on Thursday.
MMDA Traffic Discipline head Cris Saruca said traffic enforcer Joseph Alejo was injured after he was accidentally hit by a black Subaru with plate number WQX-549.
The incident happened at 9:21 a.m.
Alejo, who sustained minor injuries, was immediately brought to the Medical City in Ortigas for treatment.
He was later transferred to East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City.
Saruca said the agency is still tracing the identity of the Subaru driver.
On December 19, 2014, traffic constable Sonny Acosta died after he was hit and dragged by a motorist whom he flagged down in Cubao for occupying the lane designated for provincial buses.
